the fit & foxy footsteps of giants

What a time of inspiration these last few weeks have been in the depths of the material and mental past.  Spanish Moss, Stoned Immaculate Vintage, bravo, bravo, bravo.
Collections - spot on.
Vibe - mastered.
Photos - poignant, evocative, drool-inducing.
Clothing - damn.

Damn.

Frolic in peasant dresses and roller skate in rompers I can and must do ASAP and then repeat, repeat, repeat all summer long.

And while many don't like their politics and art to share close quarters, allow them a little cuddle on the sofa together while I say this: it's all recycling, baby. This is current, stylish and better for the planet dressing that makes you look the one in a many million that you are. It encourages the special, and eschews fads, questionable quality, or collecting material for material's sake. The prices may make your wallet gasp. Let it. Buy less and buy better, that's your balance.
(Cheap shit ain't good and good shit ain't cheap, right?)

So sit back, indulge in what was, and then choose a perfectly imperfect story instead of a mass produced slogan. And while you do, I'll be here studying, admiring, and working away to make buying better a little bit easier.

Dazed & Amused by Stoned Immaculate Vintage

Stoned Immaculate is also featuring the same blow your mind pieces in an upcoming editorial, Girl From the North Country.

Foxes, foxes one and all. I admire, I aspire. The future of The Vintage Huntress, I can only hope, will be just as bright and sassy. I'll leave you with the words of Chloe & Chance of Stoned Immaculate, words that encapsulate my goals, pursuits, and crawling-out-of-my-skin enthusiasm for the vintage lovin' community to a tee.

Together in vintage, recycling a generation.

- xx
